Go!Gaming is going to expand significantly. Following the success of the opening of the first Go!Gaming location in Pathé Schouwburgplein at the end of 2021, Go!Gaming is going to expand significantly in the Netherlands before the summer. On Friday, April 22, the second location will open in Pathé Utrecht Leidsche Rijn, a week later, on Friday, April 29, the third location in Pathé Groningen. The fourth location in Pathé Maastricht will follow later in the second quarter.
Started as a partnership between Pathé and H20 Esports Campus, Go!Gaming brings together gamers, esports players and Pathé visitors to discover and experience the fun and (dis)excitement of gaming together.
Go!Gaming is a high-end gaming area with the best and most advanced gaming equipment where you can game to your heart's content on state of the art Alienware PCs with the very best 3080RTX video cards, Playseat Gaming Chairs, Philips Hue Game Light and HyperX peripherals or on the racing seats with PlayseatⓇ Racing Seats and the latest consoles such as the Nintendo Switch and Playstations 5. The focus is on playing competitive games like Fortnite and League of Legends and racing games like The Crew 2, Forza Horizon 5 and Sim Racing. At Go!Gaming, there is always something extra for the gamer to do, including events, workshops and tournaments.
The first Go!Gaming location in Pathé Schouwburgplein opened in December 2021 and has been a great success. A loyal fan base of gamers has been built up, and during spring break the gaming spots were even sold out several times. In cooperation with various game publishers, appealing gaming events were organized, such as the "Nintendo Fun Sessions" (including Mario Kart and Mario Party) and "Ubisoft Fun Sessions" (including Just Dance and Track Mania). There was also a special event around the premiere of the Uncharted movie based on the award-winning game series, where guests at Pathé Schouwburgplein could play the game as well as attend the preview of the movie.
Bram van den Broek, Go!Gaming Management Board and Pathé Operations Director: "We are extremely proud that we will soon be able to add new Go!Gaming locations throughout the Netherlands in our Pathé cinemas. Bringing gaming and film together has so far been a great success in Rotterdam. Besides the many enthusiastic regular gamers who visit Go!Gaming, we also see many moviegoers in Rotterdam extending their cinema visit before or after the movie with a visit to Go!Gaming. This proves that the Go!Gaming concept is a good addition for our cinemas to enjoy the best forms of entertainment together."
Matthijs Vink, Go!Gaming director and co-founder H20 Esports Campus: "With this expansion to three new cities, we hope to reach even more people who have a passion for gaming. Gaming and esports must become accessible to a broad target group, and by opening Go!Gaming at the A-locations where Pathé is located, we can offer a unique gaming experience to as many people as possible. Also, we can now start launching our concepts that go across multiple locations, in order to create a climate in the Netherlands to recognize and acknowledge talent, and with which the Netherlands will have a substantial role in the world in the future when it comes to top sports & esports."
From today it is possible to book online Gametime for Utrecht Leidsche Rijn and Groningen. Maastricht will follow soon.
